On 29 December 2020, the ground-breaking ceremony for the Tunku Mahkota Ismail Youth Centre (TMIYC) took place near Stadium Sultan Ibrahim (Stadium Muar), Kampung Baharu, Muar, Johor. Creative Creed Associates Sdn. Bhd., a creative agency for events and exhibitions, was appointed by the Muar District Office (Pejabat Daerah Muar) to conceptualise and organise the ceremony.
The brief
A ground-breaking ceremony marks the start of a project that does not yet exist. For a youth centre, the event needed to signal ambition and look forward to what the facility would become. The creative direction set for the ceremony was luxury, modernity and a futuristic feel.
What Creative Creed delivered
Creative Creed developed the concept and organised the event, with these key elements:
- LED arch entrance: a lit gateway that set the futuristic tone from the moment guests arrived;
- interactive gimmick mechanism for the ceremonial moment;
- staging and decoration built to the luxury and modern brief;
- video content produced for the ceremony;
- artist performance management for the event's entertainment segments.
Audio-visual, staging and technical elements were delivered by our event technical team with specialist partners.
Pulling these elements into one ceremony meant co-ordinating fabrication, content, performers and the official programme so that the ground-breaking moment landed on cue.
