MBSA Jubli Perak 2025 marked the 25th anniversary of Shah Alam achieving city status. Majlis Bandaraya Shah Alam (MBSA) ran a month of celebrations in October 2025, and the main celebration was held on 10 October 2025 at Dataran Kemerdekaan Shah Alam. Creative Creed Associates Sdn. Bhd., a creative agency for events and exhibitions headquartered in Shah Alam, was the main event management company for the Jubli Perak celebration.
The occasion
A silver jubilee is a civic milestone. MBSA used it to mark 25 years of urban development, civic progress and community-focused work, and to celebrate that progress with residents rather than for them. The month-long programme included community welfare initiatives, subsidised grocery markets under Jualan Ehsan Rahmah, and recreational events such as the Shah Alam Neon Run.
The celebration at Dataran Kemerdekaan
The jubilee peaked with a public celebration at Dataran Kemerdekaan Shah Alam that drew more than 10,000 residents. The programme featured:
- cultural parades;
- live concerts;
- fireworks;
- a community carnival.
An open-air civic event at this scale brings its own demands: crowd flow across a large public square, a stage programme that holds attention through the evening, and a running order that builds towards the finale. It also has to work for every part of the community, from families to official guests.
What Creative Creed delivered
As the main event management company, Creative Creed delivered the Jubli Perak celebration for MBSA, with audio-visual, staging and technical elements delivered by our event technical team with specialist partners. After the event, Creative Creed prepared a pictorial report (laporan bergambar) for the council.
MBSA is a long-standing local authority client, with events for the council going back to 2020, from customer days to launches and appreciation dinners. Dataran Kemerdekaan is also familiar ground: Creative Creed was part of the organising team for Santunan Kasih Pengantin Diraja at the same venue in 2025.
