Majlis Santunan Kasih Pengantin Diraja Bersama Rakyat was a public celebration of the wedding of the Raja Muda of Selangor, Tengku Amir Shah ibni Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj, and Datin Paduka Seri Afzaa Fadini binti Dato' Abdul Aziz. Held on 7 November 2025 at Dataran Kemerdekaan Shah Alam for Kerajaan Negeri Selangor, it was attended by more than 12,000 members of the public. It followed the Istiadat Persandingan Diraja (the royal sitting-in-state ceremony) at Istana Alam Shah, Klang, which came after the solemnisation ceremony on 2 October 2025. Creative Creed Associates Sdn. Bhd., a creative agency for events and exhibitions headquartered in Shah Alam, was part of the organising team.
The challenge
A royal celebration for the public has two obligations that pull in different directions. It must observe ceremonial grace and royal protocol in every detail, and it must be open and welcoming to thousands of ordinary Selangor residents at an open public venue. The task was to combine the two at scale, so that the occasion felt both dignified and inclusive.
Creative Creed's role
Creative Creed worked as part of a multi-stakeholder organising team for the event. A royal occasion of this kind involves several parties working to a single programme, and the organising team had to keep protocol, public access and the event programme aligned throughout.
Events of this kind call for a specific discipline: a fixed protocol sequence that cannot slip, close co-ordination with officials, and crowd management that keeps a large public audience safe and comfortable without distancing them from the occasion. Royal and ceremonial experience
The celebration forms part of Creative Creed's wider body of royal-protocol work, which includes engagements graced by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, the Sultan of Terengganu, the Sultan of Selangor and the Regent of Johor. Dataran Kemerdekaan is also familiar ground: Creative Creed delivered the MBSA Jubli Perak 2025 celebration at the same venue.
